At any point, always take a second to go back and remember why you got into being an influencer. What started off as a fun activity has turned into a lucrative career opportunity that is actually paying the bills! In the midst of this, taking up projects that you hate and have a negative effect on you puts you back at square one. You’ve turned this passion into a boring job again. - Be real and authentic
The equation is simple – the more authentic you are, the more trustworthy the audience finds you. This is one of the few industries that are purely driven by the creators’ personas. This should reflect in every aspect of your influence, including content, tone, and brand collaborations. The more the audience thinks they know you, the more they’ll be ready to go on a journey with you. This also helps your cognitive load as there is no constant pressure to put on an exhausting facade.
- When it breaks, fix it
Like any profession, there will be times when problems arise, and that’s okay. The important thing is to focus on making it through these unforeseen conflicts without hurting your relationship with fans or collaborators and work on fixing things when you see things clearly and without a foggy sense of judgment.
